Catching Up 101.2

It is now August 9, 2012.  I have come to the conclusion that the only way we are going to be able to keep this blog page is if we actually post something on it.  The only way something will get posted is if I post it,  That's right. Taylor... That would be me!!!  My beautiful wife has decided that she will be the photographer and I will be the writer.  I don't really know who gave her the impression that I was such a wonderful writer, but i guess I can learn right?  Well here we go.  I really don't know exactly what the last post consists of.  If i had to guess it would probably have something to do with Keaton, if we were still even posting then.

I think Carlie would agree with me if I said this past year has been an absolute roller coaster.  Our little bundle of joy we call Keaton has more energy than he knows what to do with.  He would probably put Evil Kenevil to shame.  We are becoming very familiar with the Emergency Room and their staff.  Keaton's last accident left him with a huge hole in his tongue.  He's lucky he didn't have any more teeth; he probably would have bitten it off.  Writing this makes me think of something my dad told me many years ago "You just wait.  Your going to have kids just like you."  Thanks dad, I don't think I was that bad, was I?  This just makes me wonder what Hudson is going to be like.  Two boys just like me.  Now I'm starting to feel bad for Carlie.

If you don't already know by now we're having another baby boy.  We have decided to name him Hudson Carlyle Pehrson.  He is due October 6, 2012.  That's right T-8 weeks.  Its amazing how fast time goes by now that we're getting so old.  Carlie says this pregnancy is a lot different than her first.  First of all I don't have to wake up to her puking every morning.  What am I saying, try every two hours.  Unlike Keaton who was super active kicking and punching mommy all the time, Hudson likes to roll all around and sit on mommy's bladder.  Now I'm up about every two to three hours for her bathroom breaks.  If its not one thing, it's another.  After my wonderful night sleep between the bathroom breaks and all... the sun comes up, along with Keaton.  So now that I only work the weekends, daddy gets to wake up with him.

After Three years of blood sweat and tears we are finally moving into our own place.  No more living with the in-laws for me.  Not that it was a bad thing, but there comes a time when you need your own space.  Our planned move out date is set for September 4, 2012.  We couldn't be more excited.  Carlie has been going crazy with her shopping list of things to buy for the apartment.  The only thing left to buy now is our couch and recliner chair.  Living on our own this time is going to be quite the experience now that we have kids.

THE JOY OF HAVING A BOY

I just thought I would share a story about one of the first diaper changes we experienced while we were still at the hospital.  After Keaton was born I had already had the pleasure of changing his first 6 diapers.  Keaton's Grammies was visiting and I decided since she was holding him it was her turn to change the next dirty diaper.  If you don't already know Carlie she's not the type of person to pawn the responsibilities of being a parent to anyone other than myself .  Frannie offered to help, because he had just been circumcised and Carlie was still a little nervous to change him by herself.  They figured it would be easier for one to hold his legs, and the other to wipe his cute little butt.  Fran started by taking the diaper off, then the gauze and continued  by wiping his bum.  They thought they were almost finished with his diaper change when he EXPLODED!!!  He had Liquid green, sticky, slimy poop going just about everywhere.  So much for that new diaper!  We were all consumed with laughter over the poopie mess that Fran and Carlie forgot to cover him up.   Well... needless to say he IS a boy and started peeing all over the front of himself.  Heather and I couldn't help ourselves but to laugh even harder.  I know its not nice to laugh, but if you were there you would have done the same.  I felt really bad because I knew Carlie was upset that everyone was laughing at her little boy.  All I can say is "I'm glad it wasn't me".  What a priceless memory.  We love our little guy, what did we ever do without him?! Here are some more pictures of our new little blessing. :)

OUR BUNDLE OF JOY

~Keaton Scot Pehrson~
Born February 10, 2010 at 8:43 A.M. (Central time).  He was 20" long at 7 lbs 10 oz.  Carlie and I would like to thank everyone for all their support.  We are both proud parents and can't wait for everyone to have the opportunity to meet our little man.  He will be blessed in the LDS Church on Sunday March 27, 2011.  We have a trip planned to Utah at the beginning of June for His uncle Boo's & Aunt Kenzie's High School Graduation.  We will do our best to see everyone we can while we're there but are sorry if we're unable to see everyone.  We are also planning on going through the Nauvoo Temple some time towards the end of the year, we will keep you updated and would love the company of anyone that would like to join us.

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!

So I had the pleasure of putting the Christmas tree together on the 20th of November,  yes 5 days before Thanksgiving.  My beautiful wife threw a fit because she wanted it up now now now.  There is no arguing with a pregnant lady.  I have learned that I will never win!!!

I knew I was going to decorate the tree, but I didn't know pictures were being taken.
